This notice explains how information submitted through the Innovate Benue website is used by the CIE Benue coordination team.
Information you provide
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, optional organisation or school, area of interest and message. It records your consent choice, enquiry reference and submission time. Please provide adult or institutional contact information and do not submit children’s records, identity documents or sensitive financial information.
Purpose and access
Your details are used to receive, review, assign and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of follow-up. Only authorised staff can access the enquiry workspace. Programme updates are optional and separate from responding to your enquiry.
Hosting and delivery services
Vercel hosts this website. Supabase provides protected enquiry storage and server processing using CIE’s infrastructure in the London region. Transactional email delivery, when activated, uses Resend. These providers may process information outside Nigeria. Programme participation is handled under any additional notices applicable to the relevant service.
Retention
Enquiries closed by staff, and new enquiries with no further activity, are scheduled for deletion after 12 months without activity. Cases under active review are retained while follow-up is ongoing and should be reviewed periodically. Staff sign-in sessions expire after eight hours; verification codes expire after ten minutes. Limited security records help prevent abuse.
Cookies and security
Public browsing does not require an account or advertising cookies. Staff sign-in uses a secure session cookie. Hosting providers may process access and security logs. Form verification and rate limits help protect the service; no advertising trackers are installed.
Your choices
You can ask to access or correct your enquiry, withdraw a request for updates, or request deletion by emailing contact@cieafrica.org with “Innovate Benue privacy enquiry” and your reference, if available. The team may need to verify your identity before acting.
External services
CIE websites, SEMS and other linked platforms operate under their own information-handling arrangements. School and learner records are not collected by this website.
