Equipped spaces for digital literacy and practical learning.
SSCL is one of the eight connected components of the Benue State Smart Education Programme.
What this component covers
- Modern computers and educational software
- Supervised access and practical activities
- Power, physical security and usage planning
- Maintenance and equipment management
Purpose-built spaces for practical learning
SSCL supports school computer laboratories with suitable equipment, educational software and resources for digital literacy, practical learning and technology-enabled teaching.
Readiness before equipment
Planning considers an appropriate room, secure storage, safe electrical provision, reliable power, connectivity, supervision and inclusive access. Equipment choices should reflect learner needs and the school’s ability to maintain it.
Keeping laboratories useful
A school usage timetable, responsible coordinator, asset register, maintenance plan and technical support route help protect investment and increase meaningful access.
How to participate
Schools can describe existing facilities and priority needs. Technical organisations and sponsors can discuss equipment, refurbishment, software, training or maintenance contributions. Installation follows an agreed assessment and delivery plan.
Availability and participation
Component-specific arrangements will be confirmed as implementation progresses. Contact the coordination team to discuss institutional participation, delivery capabilities or an expression of interest.
