Connected school administration, records, communication and digital services.
Benue-SEMS is one of the eight connected components of the Benue State Smart Education Programme.
What this component covers
- Websites, portals and mobile access for every primary and secondary school, through phased implementation
- Learner records, attendance and assessment
- School communication and reporting
- Onboarding, training and continuing support
Who benefits
Primary and secondary schools, school leaders, teachers, authorised education personnel and families benefit from coordinated administration and communication.
A digital presence for every school
The programme’s state-wide ambition is a website, portal and mobile access for every primary and secondary school, delivered in phases. School information and services will be organised around the roles and permissions of their users.
Preparing your school
Nominate a school focal person, identify priority administrative workflows and assess available devices, connectivity and staff capability. Records should only be transferred through an authorised onboarding process with agreed data responsibilities.
Sustaining use
Training will focus on daily tasks such as attendance, records, assessment and reporting. School champions, user support and periodic reviews will help embed the system in routine operations.
Access the education system
School accounts and operational services are managed through SEMS. Access requirements are established by the relevant school and service operator.
